I finished the efffffffffing page proofs for the August book. Now I can get back to reality and blow up space stations.

WIP is almost ready to ship to agent. 1 week from brainstom to polished proposal. I call that an attack novel and hope it sells quickly. I -REALLY_ really want to shove everything else aside and write this one.

On this dark and stormy day, it is very wet out, I think I'll write about space stations where it only rains in the hydroponics gardens.

I've been hermitizing of late. Probably will continue in pulling the covers over my head for a while longer. Not really hiding from reality. Just the reality of deadlines. Can't do anything important or fun when chained to the computer and turning the wi-fi off so I don't run away from the work.

All life is fodder for the fiction mill. Started brainstorming a new story idea Wednesday night. Sent half a proposal to the agent last night. Draws on life experience and gives me the opportunity to RESEARCH!

Aching for a ballet studio right now to dance this puppy into life.

Turned in the weird urban fantasy with a reluctant to be Wer Cougar to DAW this week. New pen name to go with it so I can't tell you much yet. But it's done ( Read more... )

High winds all day yesterday. Lost power for about 4 hours. We coped. joycemocha and I were at "El Burro Loco" for lunch when the lights went out. They cook with propane so we were able to get lunch and cold beer, (Green Flash is seriously good when allowed to breathe a bit while I ate.) but they couldn't nuke anything and were going to have refrigeration ( Read more... )
